Policies and Procedures

Swimming Pool Rules

Swim Attire

  • Approved swimming attire is required while swimming.

  • Other clothing materials are not acceptable as they damage the pool’s water purification system.

  • Street attire is not allowed in the pool unless approved by manager on duty.

  • Children must be toilet trained or must wear a swim diaper to be allowed use of pool.

Baby Pool

  • There is no lifeguard on duty in the baby pool area

  • The baby pool is available for children under 4 with adult supervision required at all times.

Main Pool

  • A swimmer may be asked to swim in a shallower area of the pool, until swimmer can demonstrate to a manager or guard that they are capable of swimming in deeper water. 

  • Guardians may be asked to stay within arms’ reach of less mature swimmers.

Diving Boards

  • One person on the board at a time.

  • No more than one bounce per dive.

  • No handstands off the board.

  • No hanging off the board

  • Only approved flotation devices may be worn while using the board.

  • Parents/adults may NOT catch anyone off the board. (A lifeguard would be happy to assist with this during a rest break.  Please talk to the manager at Snack Shack).

  • The area around the diving board must be clear before the next person proceeds.

  • Those waiting their turn must wait on the pool deck, not on the loader or the board.

  • Diving off the board may end so the Pool remains in compliance with city noise ordinances if a noise complaint is received.

Safety Breaks

  • The pool will be cleared for an adult swim and safety break in the last 10 minutes of every hour.

  • The start and end of the safety break will be signaled with an announcement and a whistle. (This break may be subject to change for events)

  • Lifeguards on duty may use the pool during the break.

  • Children under the age of 18 are to be completely out of the pool.

  • No feet in the water.

  • No playing on the steps.

  • “Off the blue” until the break is over.

Horseplay

  • No dunking, pushing, wrestling, towel snapping, running, or causing undue disturbance will be allowed.

  • Excessive running of water or “horseplay” in restroom areas is prohibited.

  • The managers and lifeguards will handle disciplinary problems and will maintain a log of such issues. Incidents will be reported to the Keystone Klub Board. Repeated offenses will result in suspension of privileges.

Chairs/Umbrellas

  • Deck chairs are for the enjoyment of members and their guests.

  • Due to the limited number of chairs, members and their guests under the age of 18 may be asked to vacate a deck chair for the use of an adult member or guest.

  • Deck chairs must stay on the pool deck.

  • No Standing on deck chairs.

  • Umbrellas are for the enjoyment of members and their guests.

  • Members are not allowed to retrieve umbrellas out of storage.

  • Members are not allowed to move umbrellas.

  • Please see a manager or lifeguard at the Snack Shack to request to move an umbrella.

  • Umbrellas may be put away at the manager’s discretion due to, but not limited to, the weather).

Miscellaneous Pool Rules

  • NO flips off the side of the pool are never allowed for safety reasons.

  • NO diving is shallow end.

  • NO running

  • NO throwing of children

  • NO sitting or standing on shoulders

  • Games played in or around pool may be terminated by a guard or manager if the game is deemed a safety concern.

  • Tubes/floatation devices/toys may be asked to be put away if the guards or manager deem the device a nuisance or safety concern.

  • No pushing of any kind.

Pool Party Rules and Procedures

Pool Parties

  • Pool parties will only be scheduled by the manager on duty.

  • Party packets must be completed before any booking and a refundable booking/clean-up fee is required for all parties to be placed on the calendar. This deposit will be refunded once the Manager inspects the party area if the area is deemed clean. If the area is not clean the Member will have the opportunity to clean the area, otherwise, the deposit will be forfeited

  • The requested date must be approved by the manager on duty.

  • Until the booking fee is paid and the date is approved, the date is not reserved.

  • Minors cannot schedule pool parties

  • No member party will be reserved when there is a Keystone Klub event planned or a holiday unless authorized by the Keystone Klub Board.

  • The bondholder must be present throughout the entirety of the pool party.

  • Members are required to provide a guest list before the start of the party. If a guest list is not provided, the party will be cancelled and the booking fee forfeited. 

  • Details of pool party regulations are stated in the Party Packet, available at the Snack Shack or on the pool website.

  • Members are responsible for informing their guests of Keystone Klub sign-in procedures, and Keystone Klub rules.

  • Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.

  • Payment must be received after the party

  • If payment is not received, future entry will be prohibited until payment is received.

  • Members are responsible for cleaning up the pavilion after their party. Any excessive cleaning (determined by the manager on duty) may incur a cleaning fee.

Large Group Policy

  • Please contact a manager at the pool at least 48 hours in advance of your party. This ensures that we will have the proper number of lifeguards on duty to help ensure the safety of you and your guests.

  • A $50 deposit will be required. This deposit will be refunded once the Manager inspects the party area, and the area is deemed clean. If the area is not clean, the Member will have the opportunity to clean the area, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.

  • Managers reserve the right to refuse entry of a large group that was not booked

Miscellaneous

  • Members will be held responsible for property damages caused by their family or  guests.

  • Members and their guest are responsible for cleaning up their litter.

  • Grills must not be left unattended when in use.

  • The manager reserves the right to withhold swimming privileges for health reasons,  discipline or safety issues.

Miscellaneous Rules and Procedures

Member/Guests Responsibilities

  • All Members and Guests are required to follow Keystone Klub Pool Policies and Procedures

  • Membership fees must be fully paid to use Keystone Klub Pool facilities.

  • Payment of your annual membership fees acknowledges acceptance and compliance to the Keystone Klub Policies and Procedures.

  • Members are required to update membership records annually, or whenever pertinent to include information changes (telephone, email address, emergency contact, address changes, persons on membership etc.)

  • Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.

Hours

  • Hours are subject to change due to holidays, events, weather, swim meets, end-of-season school hours, etc. The new hours will be posted at the pool and communicated via social media and/or the Keystone Klub Pool Website, and/or by email/text, and/or at the Pool.

Bad Weather

  • The pool may be closed at the Manager’s discretion for the following reasons:

  • Temperature below 70 F.

  • Lightning or thunder is present.

  • The pool will be cleared immediately. Everyone on the deck must clear the deck and either shelter in the bathroom or leave the premises. The pool will reopen 30 min after the last lightning sighting or thunderclap.

  • Severe Weather or Storms: In the event of Severe Weather, the Manager reserves the right to close the pool. Patrons will be required to leave the premises. If possible, the pool may open later in the day, weather permitting.

Incliment Weather

  • A decision will be made at least one hour prior to the pool opening and updated at 4:00 pm whether the pool will open or close for the afternoon and evening. Membership will be notified via social media and/or text or email when possible.

Pool Closings

  • The Manager reserves the right to close the pool at any time due to the pool chemistry not being in compliance with the State of Nebraska Pool Guidelines.

  • Pool maintenance, pool chemistry, fecal incidents, and contamination of pool may require the pool to be closed for repairs and/or chemical maintenance. If this should arise the patrons will be notified as the situation requires.

Safety/Health

  • All persons use Keystone Klub facilities at their own risk.

  • Keystone Klub is not responsible for any accident, injury, loss, or damage to persons or property.

  • First Aid materials and help is located at the Snack Shack

  • Injuries sustained at Keystone Klub facilities must be reported to management immediately and accident reports must be completed.

  • Everyone must take a shower with soap, and rinse off before entering the pool.

  • Camera, videotaping, and cell phones are strictly prohibited in the bathhouse, shower, and restroom areas.

Member Check In and Procedures

  • All Members are required to check in upon arrival each day and recheck in if coming again at a later time the same day.

  • Members may be asked to show identification and/or their bond #.

  • Members are only allowed to check in with members named on their membership. Any additional people will be considered guests and therefore need to pay the guest fee.

  • Members may be asked to take a picture for their account to be kept on file by Keystone Klub Pool to verify membership.

Guest Check In & Procedure

  • All guests MUST be accompanied by an active member of the Keystone Klub Pool.

  • Members must be present at Keystone Klub Pool with their guest during the entire visit.

  • Guest must be checked in by the member at the Snack Shack, and are required to wear a wrist band throughout their visit.

  • Guest may not enter the premises until the member is present.

  • The guest must leave when the member leaves.

  •  Guest privileges are for one calendar day

  • Misuse of guest privileges may result in disciplinary action.

  • Management reserves the right to ask a member/guest to leave for failure to comply with  Keystone Klub Pool policies and procedures.             

  • The Board of Keystone Klub Pool reserves the right to suspend or expel a guest from the premises at any time. (The amount of time will be determined on a case by case basis).

  • Guest fees must be paid before Keystone Klub entry.

  • Guest fees are as follows:

    • $10.00 per person M-F, Sat & Sun 4-Close (except holidays)

    • $10.00 per person Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays Open-4pm

  • Guest Passes are valid for the current pool season they are issued.

  • Lost, damaged, or stolen guest passes will not be refunded.

  • Guest passes are not valid for Doggy Dip (humans only please)

Keystone Bucks

  • Keystone Bucks may be purchased and used toward items at the Snack Shack.

  • Keystone Bucks do not expire, you may use them year to year.

  • Lost, damaged, or stolen Keystone Bucks will not be refunded

Nannies

  • Nannies who baby sit for the member’s children will be allowed to accompany the children for a yearly fee of $100.00

  • This Fee does NOT allow the nanny to use the pool and facilities without being accompanied by the  member’s children.

  •  Registration forms will be kept on file at pool.

  •  Misuse of a nanny pass may result in suspension of pool privileges.

In Home Daycare

  • Members who baby sit for non-member’s children are required to register the children and pay a yearly fee of $50.00 per swimmer.

  • This Fee does NOT allow the child to use the pool and facilities without being accompanied by the day care provider.

  • Registration forms will be kept on file at pool

  • Misuse of an In-Home Daycare pass may result in suspension of pool privileges.

Property Damage

  • Abuse of pool facilities (including toilets, showers, or faucets) and property (including chairs, tables, or umbrellas) is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to, disruption and damage to plumbing, standing on chairs, standing and/or sitting on tables, and umbrellas. The bondholder will be charged for damages caused by any of their family members or guests.

Language

  • Abusive, threatening or profane language will not be tolerated and may result in suspension of pool privileges.

Tresspassing/ Vandalism 

  • Any Member found in the pool area without permission at any time (including after the pool closes for the day or the season) will have their family membership suspended for two weeks from ALL pool activities. Members and non-members will be reported to the proper authorities for trespassing. Repeated offenses will result in loss of membership/bond.

Smoking/Vaping/ Drinking

  • Minors are prohibited from smoking, vaping, and drinking on pool property. Violation will result in suspension of pool privileges for a period of time to be determined by the management and Board. Please be prepared to present identification if requested by the staff or board member, as it is mandated by the insurance provider.

  • Keystone Klub provides a designated smoking/vaping area at the pool. Smoking/Vaping is not permitted outside the designated area

  • Any illegal substance on the premises will be subject to Omaha Police enforcement and may result in loss of family membership.

Skateboards/Roller blades/Hover Boards/Scooter/Bicycles

  • No Skateboarding/roller blades/hover boards/scooters/bicycles are allowed on Keystone property (including pool deck, parking areas, or sidewalks).

Glass

  • Absolutely NO GLASS containers or bottles are allowed on the premises.

Authorized Facilitated Areas

  • Only authorized people (staff and board members) may be allowed in the following areas (unless instructed by a staff or board member):

  • Behind the front desk

  • Storage room in the men’s restroom

  • Pump room

  • Chemical room

  • Storage shed

  • Lifeguard chairs

Personal Storage

  • There are no facilities for storage of valuables.

  • The pool assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Animals/Pets

  • No animals are allowed on pool deck unless certified as a trained disability animal (patron must be able to show documentation)

  • Unless during designated doggie dip event.
